Parson’s graduate Tina Tuchinda was born in Korea and moved to the US when a child. Her New York based brand was inspired by her son Hunter and born out of a desire to create multicultural wearable art for kids. She looks to Milan for a luxurious sophistication, Paris for the ‘chic’ factor and Japan for inherent cool. It’s this melting pot of aesthetic references that makes Tuchinda a rare and covetable contemporary brand. Unusual sewing techniques, organic fabrics and an element of laid back, street cool are the order of the day.
